ECOAGRO AND THE MODERNIZATION OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION
ECOAGRO is in Ecuador as an answer to the growing necessity of maximizing the production and the agricultural productivity.
Countries like ours (in development process), are the ones called to feed a world which population and nutritional requirements are increasing.
Ecuador has a privileged geographical situation, variety of weathers, and an agricultural culture. These are strengthens that makes the country a great potential to perform the labor of being the food supply that the market requires.
For doing this task in a more effective and human way, is necessary to be aware of different aspects that affect the job in the field and to look for solutions that transform the weaknesses into strengthens.
WEAKNESSES
1.- The lands that for many years we have been exploiting in food production are now running out or they have already run out.
2.- Consumers are more exigent with the integral quality of the food, because they don’t accept contaminations in the products, and they are not willing to manage the volume of waste that we have had for years. This is because the cities don’t know what to do with the trash that agricultural waste generates.
3.- Production costs are increasing and in order to ease the situation is necessary to produce more with less. More production, more quality, Fast service, on time, less waste, less contamination, less resources, less effort, etc.
4.- The supplies used in agricultural production have to deal more with the demands in benefit of the consumers health. NO MORE POLLUTION!.
